The New Albany School Board has approved the hiring of three assistant principals within the school district.  Chris Chism was named Assistant Principal of New Albany High School, Damon Ladner was named Assistant Principal of New Albany Middle School, and Heather Linville was named Assistant Principal of New Albany Elementary School. 

Chris Chism will serve as one of the Assistant Principals at NAHS.  Chism has been in education since 1998.  He has taught and coached on both the community college and high school levels with experience at East Mississippi Community College, New Hope High School, and Hernando High School.  He received his Bachelor of Science from Mississippi State University and a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from the University of Mississippi.  Chism is a native of Columbus, MS.  He and his wife Ashley have two children:  Cade, age 7 and Bailey, age 3.  

Damon Ladner has been named as Assistant Principal of NAMS.  Ladner has ten years of education experience teaching Agricultural Environmental Science Technology, all in the New Albany Schools.   Ladner holds a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture Education and a Masters degree in Agricultural Information Education from Mississippi State University.  He is currently a doctoral candidate in Educational Leadership at the University of Mississippi.  Ladner is married to the former Mandy Carter of New Albany.  They have three children:  Carter, age 4; Rich, age 3; and Kate, age 3 months.   

Heather Linville will serve as one of the Assistant Principals at NAES.  Linville holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with a K-12 English Endorsement from Blue Mountain College and a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from the University of Mississippi.  She has seven years of teaching experience with six years teaching English at NAMS.  Linville has also served as a teacher consultant for the University of Mississippi.  She is a member of Ingomar Baptist Church, Junior Auxiliary of New Albany, and Blue Mountain College Alumnae Association.
